Policy

HostWithShery provides public-configuration diagnostics for informational troubleshooting and does not guarantee that every private provider or network condition can be detected.

  • use only for legitimate public diagnostics
  • no abuse or attempts to proxy internal services
  • no warranty of uninterrupted third-party network access

Permitted use

Use the tools to diagnose public domains, URLs and infrastructure for legitimate troubleshooting. The service intentionally restricts arbitrary ports, private/internal IP ranges, localhost, cloud metadata targets and redirect destinations so it cannot be used as an internal network proxy or general attack-surface scanner.

No exploitation or credential testing

The product does not provide vulnerability exploitation, aggressive port scanning, credential testing, subdomain-takeover testing, malware detonation or functionality designed to bypass a CDN and expose a protected origin. Attempts to defeat these controls may be rate-limited or blocked.

Accuracy and third-party systems

Results describe public evidence available at the time of the check. DNS caches, provider incidents, split-horizon configuration, private control-panel state and network filtering can make a result incomplete. Provider names and trademarks belong to their respective owners; provider repair guides are troubleshooting references, not endorsements or affiliation claims.

Availability and changes

Public network dependencies can fail or change without notice. The service may limit repeated requests to protect availability. Technical methods, retention and these terms can be updated when the product changes; material changes should be reflected in the visible last-updated date.
